When you consider the shaky run-up Germany has had to this game and that it may be sensible to rest Ballack, the Costa Ricans getting a few timely reminders about Defence, My prices of 1.50 / 4.00 / 6.00 may not look so silly. Yes you can say 6.00 is ridiculous when most Books are offering 12 but as I said earlier, The Books have good reason to keep Germany short. Although at 1.28 Germany are short, nobody on Betfair seems to want to lay them so to me the way to go for value is in the Draw. 1-1 offers the best value on Betfair @ 14 and The Draw itself @ 6.4 is way over.
POLAND-ECUDOR
I do have a dislike for South American Teams in Europe, especially the perimeter ones who seem to just play like their having a Sunday Afternoon kick about. Unfortunately My prices are very similiar to the Books so in effect a no bet. At 2.1 on Betfair Poland might just give a bit of room for a couple of Shillings for nothing. Its hard seeing people coming out in droves for Ecudor whereas Britain and Ireland, where the main Shops are situated, have Hundreds of Thousands of Poles which all those Slotys or whatever their called could add up.
I havent made any concrete bets at the moment and probably wont, but for now I have put up on Betfair the following, with a view to buying a few bets for zilch.
Germany Draw £100 @ 6.6
Germany 1-1 £30 @ 14.5
Poland £200 @ 2.14
